June Outing – Knoebels Amusement Park & Camping

When:  June 14 – 16, 2013
Where: Knoebels Amusement Park
Time:   Arrive at the St. Francis parking lot at 5:00 PM on Friday, June 14th
Return to St. Francis mid-afternoon on Sunday, June 16th

Troop 55 will camp out on Friday and Saturday night at Twin Grove Campground, 105-acres nestled in the rolling Blue Mountains of Pennsylvania. On Saturday morning scouts will have chances to assist each other in advancement activities. Patrol Leaders and youth leaders are urged to attend. After lunch the troop will drive to Knoebels Amusement park to enjoy the rides and shows and stay until closing. (10PM)

We will bring our trailer with all troop and patrol equipment, and as always, meals are planned and prepared by patrols. Patrols are responsible for planning and preparing breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. Scouts should bring a meal for the car on Friday evening and some cash for lunch on the return on Sunday.

There is a $92 fee for each scout and parent attending (includes $25 transportation, admission to the park, dinner Saturday at park, & parking fees). THE TRANSPORTATION FEE IS WAIVED FOR BOTH SCOUT AND PARENT IF THE PARENT IS DRIVING. Early Payment price $82, if registration & payment are received by June 5th.
