January Outing – Whitetail Ski Trip

When:    January 17 – 18, 2014
Where:   Whitetail Mountain, Mercersburg, PA
Time:     Meet at the St. Francis parking lot at 6:30 PM, Friday January 17th – Returning late evening, Saturday January 18th.

Scouts will enjoy skiing at Whitetail Mountain resort in Mercersburg, PA.  The troop will spend the night at the Sleep Inn located in Clear Spring, MD – just down the road from the ski resort which will enable the scouts to arrive early on the mountain on Saturday to maximize their ski time.

The Troop 55 basic package includes Friday evening lodging, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Scouts must select their ski options from the choices below.  Ski or snowboard equipment is available for rent, and rental rates include the price of the ski lift ticket.  More information about what to bring will be explained at the Troop meeting. 

There is a $62 fee for each scout and parent attending (includes $20 transportation, meals & lodging). TRANSPORTATION FEE ($20) IS WAIVED FOR BOTH SCOUT AND PARENT, IF PARENT IS DRIVING.

Description of Ski Packages:
Pick One of These

  1. Group EZ Learn to Ski or Snowboard – This package is designed for beginner skiers or snowboarders ages 8 and up. Package includes a lift ticket for beginner terrain, rental equipment (includes helmet), and a beginner lesson. EZ Learn To Package also includes lesson and rental equipment.
  2. Group All Mountain Package – This package is designed for the skier or snowboarder who is comfortable on all terrain. Package includes a lift ticket that is valid on all open terrain, rental equipment (includes helmet), and a group lesson.

To secure your place on the trip, full payment is due by January 8th, 2014. Please note, if you register after Wednesday, January 8th, you will be put on a wait-list for this outing; we cannot guarantee you a spot after the 1/8 registration deadline.
