Troop 55B(Boy) April 2021 Outing – Bull Run Battlefield Trail Day Hike

When: Saturday, April 24, 2021
Where: Bull Run Battlefield Trail located near Manassas, VA
Time: Leave Great Falls Library Parking at 7:00am in small group, and return to home ~2:30PM 

Bull Run Battlefield is a 4.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Catharpin, Virginia that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and nature trips and is best used from April until September. Scouts must arrive at departure location at 7am after having breakfast or have brought breakfast with them. Please bring a day hike backpack (lunch, snacks and two water bottles). They must bring a personal trail lunch for the hike on Saturday. Scouts can bring money for a quick snack stop for the return trip on Saturday afternoon. Return is estimated by 2:30 pm Saturday.  Scouts will call their parents as they near the Great Falls.

 Due to COVID-19 safety consideration, we require all scouts and adults wearing masks during car ride,  do not share food and drink, and do their best for social distance.

There is a $15 fee for each scout and parent attending (which includes a $10 transportation fee). Transportation fee is $10 per person , The transportation fee of $10 is waived for both scout and parent if the parent is hiking and driving.
