Mini Maker Faire Volunteers
iSchool Mini Maker Faire
Volunteer at iSchool’s Table or Children’s Workshop
NOVA Mini Maker Faire
Sunday, March 15, 2015
South Lakes High School and Langston Hughes Middle School, Reston
iSchools for the Future is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children succeed in the 21st century, it asks for volunteer supports from Troop 55. iSchool will be at the NOVA Mini Maker Faire in Reston on Sunday, March 15. We will have a table (all day, 10 am to 5 pm) and we will be running two hands-on classes (schedule TBD, each 45 minutes long). We absolutely need help with the table and the classes on Sunday, but could also use help setting up on Saturday afternoon (March 14 from 4-7 pm). At the table we will have hands-on STEM and art activities. This event is huge and will be packed. It will be a lot of fun for any of the Boy Scouts who volunteer (and you!), as we’ll make sure they have time to roam around a bit. If any of the boys are able to volunteer they can get into the Faire for free (I have to put them on the list) and will get a T-shirt.
Thank you for volunteering with iSchool. Please note, in order to gain free entrance to the Faire, volunteers must commit to at least 4 hours. The NOVA Mini Maker Faire is a huge event that brings together innovators, scientists, thinkers, and artists from all over the region. iSchool for the Future will be hosting a table with hands-on STEM and Art activities and giving two short workshops for children. Volunteers are needed to help with activities at the table and help children with activities during the workshops. Please provide your t-shirt size in the Comments section.
