On May 25, 16 Boy Scouts and adults from Troop 55 participated in the 7.2-mile Baden-Powell Hike in Washington.
The event was established by Boy Scouts of the National Capital Area to commemorate Memorial Day and help Scouts understand the history of Scouting in the local area.
Troop members paid tribute to fallen military personnel, studied Scouting history and did a good turn by removing trash from local streets. They also welcomed members of the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally to Washington.
