2008 Summer Camp - Bayport Scout
Reservation
Bayport Scout Reservation
is the Colonial Virginia Council's newly established replacement for Camp
Chickahominy. Bayport Scout
Reservation is a 300
acre, riverfront camp located in
Jamaica,
Virginia, with access to the Chesapeake Bay.
Bayport has brand new
facilities which includes 400 feet of sandy
beach, a mill pond, pine groves, and hardwood areas. The buildings and
developed areas of camp provide 15
campsites, rifle, archery, and shotgun ranges, central shower facilities each
with individual shower and bathroom
areas, chapel, several pavilions and a 265,000 gallon pool.
Troop 55 went to summer camp at Camp Chickahominy in 2002, and
those scouts that attended have an excellent impression.
